Welcome to 2nd Annfield Plain Scout's Web Site

All About Us

Our Scout Troop is based in the North East of England, in County Durham. We are a large Troop consisting of about 2 patrols in a District in Durham called Derwentside. Our Group has Scouts and Cub Scouts and are considered to be a successful Group within the District and County. We have many Scouts who have also went on to become not only Venture Scouts at 1st Blackhill Venture Scouts but also to become leaders within the District.

Our Hut

We meet in a hut in Annfield Plain which is situated next to the C2C Cycle track and is a perfect place for an overnight sleep over, the charges aren't to expensive and have proven in the past to be very affordable.

Local Attractions

Our hut is also located near many great tourist attractions which make splendid sites to visit. The photo below is a picture of Beamish Open Air Museum, which is a make up town in the Victorian ages, many things like clothing and housing have been remade or repaired in this little town, there is a farm, pit village other places of interest. Beamish is not far from our hut is highly recomended by many visitors.

Recently our Troop has been Canal Boating on the Llangollen Canal and have attended Confido Extreme, our future events do include repeat visits to Hamstrerly Forrest and Hawkhirst, Kielder. This page also includes our future preposed events in which we hope to take part in.
